What are CNC machining tolerances that you support?

TurboVector, with its advanced CNC machining setup and rigorous quality control, can meet most stringent design requirements. With high-quality CNC machines, we can easily achieve +/- 0.001 inch of tolerance. Please bear in mind that tighter tolerance have a direct correlation to cost.

How does your quote request process work?

We pride ourselves in speed and efficiency. After you submit online quote request form or email us your project requirements at project@turbo-vector.com, our customer success team member will review the requirements right away and start the estimation process. Assuming all required build information is submitted in the initial request, you will receive a quote within 24 hours.

What are the dimensions you support?

We support up to a maximum size of 10 inches diameter and 8 inches length.

How is your quote different from other online quotes?

In order to provide a valid quote, there are several factors that have to be taken into account such as:

• Material grade, availability and cost

• Cutting technique (EDM, Wire-cut, etc.)

• Finishing

• Quality and weight

As such TurboVector’s production engineering team does a detailed review of all requirements and cost factors to produce a valid quote that is accurate. Online, instant quote systems, are unable to account for various factors to produce an accurate quote resulting leading to unsatisfactory customer experience.

Do you test for the material grade used in the product?

Quality is of utmost importance to us. TurboVector partners with 3rd party material testing labs that perform comprehensive testing on material grade and provide assurance and certification. This certification can be made available to you as the customer if needed.

Can we sign an NDA before sharing our design?

Certainly. At TurboVector, we take great care in ensuring confidentiality around the entire customer engagement process starting with design and requirements to order fulfillment. Please contact us at project@turbo-vector.com to initiate NDA process.

Which materials and grades does TurboVector support?

We support 100+ variety of metal grades from Copper, Brass, Stainless Steel, Aluminum and even exotic metals. Please see full Materials list here. For any other specific metal grade not listed, please contact us. We have an extensive supplier network that provides us access to a variety of materials.

How precise is Wire EDM?

Our Wire EDM machining tolerances are as low as ±0.0004 (0.01 mm).

Do you offer CNC machining DFM?

TurboVector is very collaborative with its customers. We can review the design (CAD files) and provide feedback on design considerations that may help optimize manufacturability of the product in terms of either cost and time.
